Disability Discrimination under State and Federal Law

Ted provided legal advocacy and community outreach to people with disabilities isolated in work shelters earning pennies an hour in poor work conditions, and worked to shut down the school-to-work shelter pipeline.

About Ted Evans

Ted Evans is a staff attorney on the Employment, Voting, and Accessibility (EVA) team at Disability Rights Texas, which is a nonprofit law firm and member of the federally authorized Protection and Advocacy (P&A) network.

He takes cases from all over Texas, representing clients with legal issues involving disability discrimination in employment, higher education, and in the community. Ted has represented clients in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, Department of Justice investigations, mediations, and hearings.

He has also represented clients in state and federal courts. Ted is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and has been admitted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas, with honors (2013) and a J.D. from The University of Houston Law Center (2016).
